We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful rolled arm empire mahogany frame with flame mahogany accents turnip style leg period sofa that dates from the 1860s era. It is a great looking sofa that has been reupholstered in the last 5-10 years in a cranberry or light wine color. The fabric is in good condition. The sofa is very comfortable with a foam filled removable cushion. The frame is in the original reddish brown stain finish. The frame swoops along the back in a couple of reverse curves and comes down into a carved scroll arm that comes down into a flame mahogany leg block that has a turnip style solid mahogany leg. The overall size is 80 inches on the outside of the arms, 66 inches on the inside of the arms, 22 inches deep from the back to the front of the seat, 36 inches high at the highest point, 32 inches high to the arm and 20 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking sofa that all the work has been done for you. The back of the sofa is upholstered so that you can leave it out in the middle of the room if you desire.
