SOLD Antique Period Civil War Era Mahogany Empire Sofa

We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous pre-civil war period flame mahogany empire sofa that came right out of an estate in the central Maine area dating from the civil war era.  We are excited to be showing this pre-period empire flame mahogany sofa that is in gorgeous original condition.  Please look at the photos to see the gorgeous flame mahogany surrounding this gorgeous shapely sofa frame. Someone has reupholstered the sofa in antique blue light crush velour style fabric in the last 20-30 years.  There are some slight stain spots here and there in the upholstery, which would likely shampoo out.  One arm has a spot where a doily was most likely sitting.  Overall, the upholstery is clean and usable.  The flame mahogany veneer on the swoopy top and the face is very stunning in the rich reddish-brown color.  The very front of the curved skirts between the empire curl foot legs has some very minor veneer chips that we will detail out prior to shipping.  The overall size of the sofa is 60 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 82 inches long on the outside of the arms, 25 inches deep from from to back, 29 inches high to the back of the sofa, 24 inches high to the arm and 16 inches high to the seat.  When they reupholstered the sofa, they put extra padding on the seat to make it more comfortable.  The springs have been retied and the cushion makes it very comfortable.  Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Shipping to the west coast will run about $450 depending on the location.  Please contact us to confirm the shipping cost to your area before purchasing.
