This Victorian bookcase features a walnut triple burl drawer, carved top bookcase, and dates from the 1880s. This will hold a ton of books as the shelves are 13.5 inches deep and 52 inches high. This antique bookcase came in right out of a home on the East Coast. It has a heavy, dual crown top with circular accent pieces on the crest face. Even the doors have carved corners! The shelves are fully adjustable to fit your needs. It has three burl decorated front drawers; the hardware was all mismatched, so we replaced it with reproduction solid brass hardware. It hasn’t been toned down yet, but it can be if the buyer so desires. It has an applied bracket base and carved grooves in the corner. The overall size is 57 inches wide, 22 inches deep on the base, 17 inches deep on the top of the bookcase and 90 inches tall overall. It is a great bookcase that does not have a key and the lock has been removed from the door. There is a small circular hole where they must have put a knob in at one time. We can put a knob in the spot if the buyer so desires. The panel back of the base was missing, which was normal in houses. We simply put a piece of plywood on the back to keep it from getting dusty. It has panel sides. The top comes off the base for shipping ease. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
