Beautiful Victorian marble top washstand dating from the 1880s, crafted from solid black walnut with striking geometric carved details and an elegant ogee bevel edge marble top. This shapely Victorian commode features wonderful proportions, unusual design elements, and a rich dark walnut finish with excellent antique character throughout.

The white and gray marble top retains its original tall backsplash and matching candle shelves, all beautifully shaped with soft curves and refined Victorian styling. The marble features attractive 45-degree beveled corners and remains in very nice condition overall.

Below the marble is a hand-cut dovetailed drawer featuring a unique elongated diamond point carved design across the drawer front. Matching raised diamond motifs continue across both cabinet doors, creating a cohesive and visually distinctive look uncommon to most Victorian washstands.
