Victorian Carved Oak Sideboard with Mirrored Back – c. 1890s #22525

This richly carved Victorian oak sideboard dates from the 1890s and features beautiful craftsmanship, elegant proportions, and generous storage. It boasts a paneled oak base with a dual beveled mirror upper section supported by carved columns, fluted urns, and claw-foot motifs—making it a striking centerpiece for any dining room or living space. Refinished by the previous owner within the last 15 years and is still is real nice condition.

• Bevel Mirrored Back with Display Shelves
Includes two antique bevel-edge glass mirrors, adding charm and dimension. The large central display shelf and two top corner shelves are supported by turned columns with fluted urns and deeply carved acanthus scrolls—classic Victorian motifs.
• Elaborate Carving
The arched crest is adorned with a shell and foliate motif, echoed by the carved panel at the base. Additional ornate carvings decorate the cabinet doors, scroll feet, and side supports, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship.
• Functional Storage Base
• Two small dovetailed drawers: 18.5” W × 16.5” D × 3.5” H
• One large drawer: 39.5” W × 15” D × 5” H
• Right cabinet: approx. 20” W × 19” D × 17” H (divided with shelf at ~8–9”)
• Left cabinet: full open interior approx. 20” W × 19” D × 18” H
• Original Brass Hardware
All drawers and doors appear to retain their period ornate brass pulls with floral scroll designs. Keyhole escutcheons are intact, and a key is included that operates drawers and doors (see lock disclaimer below).

Clean, panel-style sides and hand-cut dovetails throughout demonstrate the superior construction quality.
• Two-Part Construction
The upper mirrored section removes from the base for safer and easier transport during delivery.

Condition Notes:

This piece is in very good antique condition with only minor wear consistent with age:
• Light scuffs and marks from use on the base
• Some expected silver loss to the antique mirrors
• All drawers and cabinet doors function smoothly
• Carvings are crisp and intact, with only some minor crazing and very minor loss
• There are the usual nicks, dings, and seam lines seen on true antiques—but nothing distracting or unexpected from a piece that’s over 130+ years old.

It is very clean, sturdy, and ready to use in your home.
