We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful double bevel glass heavily carved oak sideboard that dates from the 1890s in original condition. It is a very unusual model. It has an oval bevel glass above two shelves and below the two shelves is a rectangular bevel glass mirror. The posts that hold the back up and mirror are detailed with sharply carved toe nail claw feet, carved posts and rosettes all the way around. Most of the carving is intact except for some small beading missing right below the two oval medallions on the posts and tiny piece of carving missing by the oval bevel glass. It has a serpentine front, two large dove tail drawers on top, a large serpentine drawer underneath and two carved doors underneath the large drawer for storage. It has carved posts going down the sides with big bun feet. It has the original hardware. It is in really nice condition. The backsplash crest has egg and dart molding, deep bold applied carvings, notch moldings and a big carved center crest. It is all intact. It is in the medium oak stain. The only big negative is that both bevel glass mirrors show a lot of time wear. I personally like it this way, but we can provide a quote to replace them if the buyer so desires. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 39 inches high to the base and the overall height is approximately 84 inches high. The size of the oval bevel glass mirrors is 28 inches across and 11 inches high. The rectangular mirror is 35 inches across and 11 inches high. The overall condition of the sideboard itself is real nice. It has panel sides. It is a really nice high quality Victorian age sideboard. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
