SOLD Victorian Oak Press Back Lawyers Office Chair

We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful tiger sawn and solid oak tilt and swivel press back office chair that dates from the 1890s in previously restored condition.  It came out of a home in southern Maine.  It is a beautiful chair with a wonderful backsplash that has a lions face in the center of the back with fleur-de-lis on both sides.  It has shapely cut out arms, five finger center splat, leather seat and it sits on an adjustable tilting four legged swivel base.  The chair was refinished 20 years ago according to the previous owner.  They did a really nice job.  You can see there is a lamination seam on the back where the two posts hook up and we will check over prior to shipping.  It has a plug hole on the front of the seat on the right hand side, which must have had a flaw that was fixed when refinishing.  It has reproduction wheels on the base.  It is finished in a medium oak stain finish.  It is all set to go into the office.  It tilts, swivels and goes up and down.  The overall size is 27 inches wide across the arms, 20 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 19 inches deep from the front to the back, 43 inches high to the back, 30 inches high to the arms and 19 inches high to the seat.  Please keep in mind that the chair is height adjustable.  It was refinished about 20 years ago and we will check it out prior to shipping.  Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
