SOLD Antique Oak Office Chair, Victorian Oak Swivel Lawyers Chair
This antique oak office chair dates from the Victorian era and is splendidly oversized, constructed of solid tiger sawn oak, has four legs, with a swivel and tilt, and up and down feature. Purchased from a family that was from up from the Canadian border and moving down south, they said it originally had leather upholstery on it. This antique oak office chair would look amazing redone in the original. The replaced brown fabric looks pretty good, but has a little wear on the front where your legs would hit. It’s not torn, just worn. This oversized office chair is so comfortable, oversized and is a true Victorian office chair, dating from 1880s-1890s.
The overall size is 24 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 48 inches high to the top of the back, the arms are 32 inches off the floor, and 24 inches high to the seat. These measurements are as the chair sits now, but there is room to adjust roughly two or three inches or so down. The space between the two arms is 21 inches wide, and to the outside of the arms is 26 inches wide - look how thick the arms are themselves - measuring 2 inches thick! This is a fantastic antique oak office chair, with a curved back, this is one of the better ones we’ve had in the last 10 years.
