We are pleased to be offering today this civil war era marble top turtle top shapely parlor stand that dates from the 1870s era.  It is constructed of solid mahogany stained a dark reddish brown color.  It is in the original finish with a white and gray grained ogee bevel edge shapely turtle top.  They call these turtle tops because it looks similar to the body of a turtle.  The marble sits upon a solid wood skirted frame with four stylish legs joined together in the center with a multi-turn center finial that has a couple of chips out of it.   The overall size is 32 inches long, 23 inches deep and 29.5 inches tall with the original dainty metal castors.  The marble has a stain down in the corner, which is common.  I understand that sometimes you can bleach them.  .  Shipping starts at $145 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not. This estimate is for the East coast. You are welcome to use your own shipper if desired.  Please contact us prior to purchase with a zip code to confirm that you are in our normal area.
