We are pleased to be offering this Victorian turtle top coffee table with solid black walnut base to you today. Dating from the 1880's, as everyone knows, they did not have Victorian marble top coffee tables back in the day, so people took parlor stands and cut them down to size. Some have been done poorly, but this coffee table has been done very well! It has a turtle top design with white and gray grained marble top with an ogee bevel edge. The shape looks like the back of a turtle’s body, hence the name. The marble top rests upon a wide multi-molded same shape frame skirt that rest upon four heavier than normal carved cabriole legs retaining the original castors. The table is in a dark walnut patina and is 33 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 20 inches high. It is a great table that is in wonderful condition. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges.
