We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful original finish Civil War Era solid black walnut with walnut burl trim and hand carved crest marble top hall tree that dates from the 1860s to 1870s in wonderful condition. It was purchased out of a home on the coast of Massachusetts. This beautiful hall tree is really nice with the six turn walnut hooks, umbrella arms that are all good and the original cast iron embossed drip pans in the base. It has an ogee bevel round corner white marble top above the hand carved dove tail drawer finishes off a wonderful hall tree with an outstanding carved crest on top. Upon real close inspection there is a carved crest on the left hand side, but it is missing on the right hand side on the top which cen be seen in the pictures. It is about 4 inches wide by 2-3 inches high. The photographer didn’t notice it, but I wanted to mention it. I would just remove the other side and no one would know. The overall size is 41 inches wide at the widest point, 15 inches deep, 25 inches high to the marble top and the overall height is approximately 88 inches high. It is a great looking Civil War era piece. The only other thing I can see wrong with it is that there is a splinter of wood chip between the bottom and the middle wooden hook. Shipping starts at $300 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
