We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful mahogany double door leaded glass bookcase that offers four adjustable shelves behind both doors that dates from the 1890s. It was purchased out of a Vermont home in the hills. When we got this back to the shop to repair the bracket feet on the back of the case and you can’t tell it was done. We polished it up, put new wooden wheel reproduction castors on it, replaced two missing handles on the front and we also found a key that works the locks. It is a great looking bookcase with carved columns coming down both sides that terminated in detail toe nail claw feet. It has acanthus carving on top of the pillar, molded edge top and the two wooden doors have tulip design bevel leaded glass which is unusual. The right hand door has one petal of one flower that has cracks in the glass (see picture). The overall size of the bookcase is 49 inches across, 16 inches deep on the outside and 60 inches tall. The inside dimensions are 22 inches wide on each shelves and they are 10.5 inches deep. It is finished in a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
