We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful Victorian era civil war era solid black walnut five shelf étagère what not shelf that dates from the 1860s to 1875. It is constructed of all solid black walnut. It is in original condition showing just minor nicks and dings. It even has the original multi-turn top finials and every piece of fretwork is there and in good shape. It has bevel edge carved supports that hold up each double bevel edge shapely shelf. There are five shelves for plenty of storage and there is a backsplash on all shelves. The overall size is 39 inches wide at the bottom, 23.5 inches wide on the top shelf and 67 inches high overall. The height of each shelf from the floor up is 7 inches, 22 inches, 35 inches, 48 inches and 60 inches. The depths of the shelves from the bottom up are 15 inches deep on the two bottom shelves, 12.5 inches on the third one up, 10.5 inches on the fourth on up and 8.5 inches deep on the top shelf. The overall condition is good. I can see one small crack behind on one shelf, which has nothing to do with the structure. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
