We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian age mahogany, flame mahogany and walnut five shelf étagère what not shelf with the fancy barley twist support posts and a serpentine hand cut dove tail drawer in the base that is all flame mahogany front. It is in the original finish dating from the 1860s to 1870s.  The overall condition is good with just a couple of cracks on a couple of the fancy gallery backs and one of the back posts that we will correct and one of the posts have been pulled out of the socket which we will re-glue.  It has a serpentine base that sits on spool turn feet with barley twist going five shelves up.  The overall size is 39 inches wide on the bottom shelf and 29 inches wide on the top.  The shelves measure 10 inches, 24 inches, 37 inches, 48 inches and 59 inches high from the floor up.  The drawer on the base is 21 inches wide.  It is most unusual to have a drawer on the base of one of these.  The overall condition is original.  The finials have some dainty chips of wood missing, but nothing serious.  Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
