We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual design Victorian carved marble top coffee table that dates from the 1880s. It has reverse curves on the turtle top shape white and gray grained ogee bevel edge marble that rests upon the matching solid walnut skirt that is all incise carved. It all rests upon a scroll detail base. Back in the 1880s era, coffee tables were not available so many people took parlor stands and cut them down. This one has had that done. The frame that holds the marble on has one curved end of the top of the leg underneath the marble is missing that is hard to notice. The curved button piece that is 2” by 1.5” is missing, but can not be noticed without being at floor level. The overall size is 30 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 21 inches high. It has a great look being fancier than usual. There is a loose leg that we will glue up prior to shipping. Shipping starts at $125 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
