We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian original finish turtle top marble top solid walnut carved coffee table that originally started out as a parlor stand. There were no coffee tables back in the Victorian era of the 1870s to 1880s, which is when this table dates from. It is very common in the antique world to alter a parlor stand into a coffee table. This beautiful example is 30 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 21 inches high. Look at the pictures to see the beautiful patina of the solid black walnut four legged frame that supports a gorgeous turtle shape ogee bevel edge white and gray grained marble top that is in outstanding condition.
