We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful tiger sawn oak turn of the century (1900s) reclining push button Morris chair that is unusual and rare.  It was made by the Royal Chair Furniture Company.  They call themselves the push button kind out of Sturgis, Michigan and the chair has a patent date of 1900.  It is unusual for this Morris chair as most have the ridiculous brackets and bar that needs to be moved.  This push button allows the chair to recline and move with just the push of a button.  This chair came out of the estate and the people had spent a lot of money on the upholstery which is a soft brown leather cow hide skin to do the back and the seat.  They even spent the extra to have it buttoned and pleated.  The leather is in wonderful shape.  The upholstery job cost probably the same price we are asking for the chair.  The chair is in wonderful condition with round pillars, adjustable back and six turn spindles on each arm.  The overall size when it is sitting up right is 28 inches wide, 30 inches deep and 40 inches tall. The only thing I see wrong with it, which we can touch up, is on the left hand leg there is a small hole.  Overall it is a really nice condition chair that is hard to find.  Please keep checking our listings as this is a large estate.  Shipping for this chairs starts at $199 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to check your rate for delivery and also inquire about white glove delivery at an additional charge.
