We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful barley twist or rope twist stand in a Hunzinger/ Merklen style. I do not believe it was made by either of those makers, but it is of the same era and style. It has an embossed bevel edge circular top that is 16 inches around and 40 inches high. It has been all refinished in the shop in a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish. The detail talon ball feet are stunning. Look at the pictures to see the carving across the circular top with a recessed bevel edge and thick rope twist 4” thick post that is joined together with 3 legs showing lion faces. This stand dates from the 1890s and has been all refinished in our professional restoration shop. Shipping starts at $85 if you are in our normal area.
