SOLD Vintage Carved Walnut Lion Head Claw Foot Pedestal Plant Stand
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful walnut gothic style
heavily carved lion face with a detail golden toe nail claw feet in a Greek
revival style. It is a great looking unit that came into the shop. We have
filled a crack on the top that is only in the veneer. We have quickly
sanded and stained the table to bring out the gorgeous grains used in this
oversized pedestal or plant stand. It has four lion faces along clam shell
carving on the skirt (5 clam shells in each section) goes down into a scroll carved leg
that starts with half of the lion face with the jaw open into a floral
carved leg down into a wonderful gold accent detail toe nail claw footed
base. The circular base has a double molded top and carving underneath that
with a carved foot. This dates from the 1930s by the way. It is 19 inches
around the top, 35 inches high and 16 inches round on the bottom shelf and 5
inches high to the bottom shelf. This is one of the nicest pedestals I have
seen in a very long time. Please check our other listings as we are listing
