SOLD Set of 8 Chippendale Ribbon Back Dining Chairs - Twin Arms
We are pleased to be offering today a wonderful set of 8 high quality dining room chairs that came out of an estate here in central Maine. These are most likely made from Drexel as there was a complete dining room set in this estate. I am not sure if they are stamped under the upholstery, but it is highly likely. This is a heavy duty set of chairs. they have country Chippendale legs, horizontal cut out splats, 4 in total and upholstered in antique blue crush velour that wraps around the whole seat. The finish is a dark reddish brown. The set consists of 6 oversized side chairs and two master or arm chairs. Look at the carved knuckles on the scrolled arms on the arm chairs,front square Chippendale legs, solid H cross stretchers and the flared back leg. The overall size of the side chairs are 22 inches by 19 inches by 37 inches by 18 inches high to the seat. 24 by 19.5 by 38 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat.
