SOLD Set of 8 Carved Oak Outstanding Dining Room Chairs – Victorian

We are pleased to be offering today this fantastic set of 8 matching solid tiger sawn oak Jacobean style Victorian age dining room chairs that dates from the 1880s to 1890s era in gorgeous original condition.  The set consists of two oversize arm chairs or throne chairs and six side chairs.  Do not mistake for the lighter weight chairs that are offered on the Internet. This set is much heavier quality than the normal, so take time to look at the pictures.  The only thing I can see wrong with the set is that one of the oval crush velour panels is not in one of the chairs.  Other than that the carvings are good and the finial balls are all there.  The arm chairs we thought about breaking them out as they sell real well as desk chairs.  The arm chairs have oversize carved arms, carved border seats, spindle and block turn posts, pierce carved front crest, thick turnings for the cross stretchers and the back has an oval oak panel carved in the pierce carved crest on the top and then carved pierce carving going down both sides of the oval panels and the panel bottom.  Even the arms are carved on top, front and the back.  These are simply stunning chairs that we were fortunate to find.  These chairs would look great around a high end dining room table or even a simplistic table to dress up the room.  These chairs are something to cherish and own for many years.  The overall size of the arm chairs are 25 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 30 inches high to the arm and 53 inches high to the top of the chair.  The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat and 46 inches high to the chair back.  The average dining chair is normally 40 inches high, so what a statement these make!  The fabric on the seats is a crush velour.  The finish is the original old finish.  A couple of the chairs have water stains on the seats that I hope show up in the photos.  This set is rare and hard to find in great quality.  These are all set to go into the home to dress up any space.  You can use the six chairs in the dining room and take the two arm chairs to accent your office, parlor or any room.  You are getting all eight chairs for one money.  Shipping starts at $365 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
