SOLD Antique Dining Chairs, Set of 8 Oak Carved Barley Twist Dining Room Chairs
This wonderful set of antique dining room 8 barley twist post and leg oak carved dining chairs date from the 1900s and remain in wonderful condition. The set consists of one armchair and seven side chairs; someone upholstered these in a way that I have never seen before. They did a thick cushion that is buttoned straight through so that it stays all one piece. I am sure you can remove them and put a slipcover on if you want the traditional style. The chairs have barley twist posts, barley twist legs, block and spindle stretcher and the top of the barley twist posts are finished with a round finial. They have a carved crest rail, fancy cutout splat, and they appear to have been refinished years ago. They are in a dark oak stain finish that is nice. The cushions are comfortable. The overall size of the armchair is 23 inches wide on the seat, 20 inches deep on the seat, 24 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 21 inches high to the top of the cushion and 46 inches high overall. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 21 inches high to the seat and 43 inches high overall. It is a great looking set of 8 that are all tight and ready to go into the home. You are getting all eight chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
