We are pleased to be offering today this set of 4 balloon back finger carved wonderful condition civil war era solid black walnut dining chairs or parlor chairs. The set of four is all good date from the 1860's-1870's. The finish is all original. There is no damage or repairs to the chairs. They have a button upholstered seat that must have been redone along the line in an antique blue. The chairs are great with a nice patina to them. The chairs have hip rests, carved center splat, balloon back, hand carving, flared back leg, round seats, round skirt and cabriole carved legs on the front. The fabric is really nice showing a few tiny stains that should clean out. The overall size is 20 inches around on the seats, 36 inches high to the top of the back and 17.5-18 inches high on the seat. They are great looking chairs that came out of a home in southern Maine. They were around a dining room table. You are getting all four for one money. Shipping estimates starts at $225.00-$245.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
