We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful rare nine drawer oak file cabinet sold and made by the Library Bureau of Sole Makers dating from the 1900s. It has been professionally restored and refinished in our professional cabinet shop. It is a gorgeous looking cabinet. We have taken it in our shop and fabricated sides to the exact standards and specifications of the factory sides. We have refinished it in a beautiful medium oak stain finish. All the brass hardware is intact and has been buffed up. The unusual part of this cabinet is that there are 8 smaller drawers that holds a double row of index cards. Those drawers are approximately 5 inches wide by 3 inches high on the face of the drawer. Some of the drawers have the slide mechanism that holds the cards in place, but are missing from some of the drawers. They used to have the rod mechanism, but they have been replaced with brass knobs on the cabinet itself so no the face of the drawers it looks correct. The bottom drawer is 10 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 8 inches high. The overall size of the cabinet is 15.5 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 52 inches high. It is a beautiful cabinet that we are pleased to be offering today. Shipping starts at $299 within our normal area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm shipping to your area. Check our other inventory as we have about a dozen more file cabinets that we will be listing soon!
