We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful mahogany Chippendale style extra tall queen size poster bed with the posts being 86 inches high. It is a beautiful piece being all solid mahogany. It has bolt in rails all the way around. It has heavy stout side rails with metal brackets to hold your box spring. It stands on a 13 inch tall wonderful queen Anne Chippendale pad foot at the end of each solid mahogany tapered post. The posts have a simple turning with the mushroom finial cap. The shield is all solid mahogany. The outside dimensions are 54 inches wide, 86 inches high on the posts, 43 inches high to the headboard shield, 18 inches high to the top of the rail and 12 inches high to the bottom of the rail. The bolts are hidden with a cast brass looking cap that slides over the bolt hole. The only thing I can see wrong is that the shield of the headboard has some finish wear from use on one of the front posts is slight lighter than the rest of the bed. The lights we use make it look blotchy, but I think it would look fine in a home. If the buyer desires, we can scuff it down and re-spray it if you remind us at the time of sale. .
