SOLD Pair of Unbelievable Extra Tall Twin Mahogany Poster Beds
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful extra tall beautiful pair of bolt rail mahogany extra tall twin poster beds that date from the 1920s in dark piano finish mahogany color stain. What a fantastic pair! They could even date from the 1890s as they are that kind of quality. The outside dimensions are 41 inches wide, 62 inches high on the posts, the multi-turn cross stretcher on the footboard is 32 inches high and the shield in the headboard is almost 48 inches high. They are fantastic quality beds of all bolt on construction. The mattress size would be 76 inches long by 40 inches wide. What most people do is they put a board down on top of the rails and then use the pillow top mattresses. If you want to alter them to use traditional bed slats, which most people don’t do, please let us know and we can provide a quote. The side rails are two inches thick and 4 inches tall. The cross spindle stretcher in the footboard is approximately 3 inches on the thickest point. The headboard shields are beautifully grained.
