SOLD Press Back Victorian Carved Extra Tall Rocking Chair
We are pleased to be offering today this extra tall curved back super fancy press back rolled arm rocker that dates from the early 1900’s. It must have been refinished somewhere along the line because there is one turn spindle and one plain spindle on the front of the base. It looks original, but I don’t think they did that at the factory. It has an extra tall back, carved designs throughout the back, contour curved splats in the back to follow the shape of your back, rolled arms and it is finished in a dark oak stain finish. It has a couple of surface cracks at the beginning of the seat, which doesn’t have anything to do with the structure, but we wanted to mention it. The overall size is 22 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 41 inches high as it sits, 24 inches high to the arm and 16 inches high to the seat. We love these extra tall rocking chairs and we were fortunate to find this one in a home in Massachusetts. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
