We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful flame mahogany period sideboard in the Hepplewhite style that is all inlaid completely across the whole face and legs. It appears to be the original finish. I am guessing that this is most likely English, but I am not completely sure as the secondary wood is pine. This sideboard dates from the 1840s to 1870s era. We have repaired some veneer chips and filled and colored a crack across the top but you can still see it. We are not trying to hide or disguise it as we want you to know exactly what you are getting. The sideboard is fantastic with a four drawer front, tapered legs, cast brass hardware, keys and the type design drawers for wine bottles on either side of the center doors. You can see where the veneer repairs have been done if you study the piece. You can see on the solid mahogany top where the crack was that we repaired. It is a large and heavy sideboard being 71.5 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 42 inches high. The size of the two center doors is 22 inches wide and 12 inches high. It is a really nice beautiful sideboard with some minor flaws that add to charm and character of the piece. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway in our normal area.
