We are pleased to be offering today this rare find in the antique world. It is a period matching civil war era empire set of 8 matching chairs. It is so unusual to find a set of 8 matching chairs in this gothic style design. All chairs have a flame mahogany back, wonderful flared back legs, saber style front legs, serpentine skirt, nice useable upholstery and they are in the original dark reddish brown stain finish. The chairs are all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 32 inches high to the chair back and 18.5 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking set of eight.
