We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful pair of matching gentleman’s and ladies arm chairs that dates from the 1880s. Someone has spent some money on them as they were reupholstered in a nice fabric. The chairs could use a cleaning as the chairs came right straight out of the home. They were likely part of a larger parlor set, but people usually kept the arm chairs intact. The larger chair is 29 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 43 inches high to the back, 23 inches high to the arm and 16 inches high to the seat. The ladies chair is 26 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 36 inches high to the back, 22 inches high to the arms and 18 inches high to the seat. It is a really nice pair of chairs that are in the original old walnut patina. They have burl panels and nice carvings along the crests of both chairs. The finish is all original. They could use a polish and oil job that would make the finish jump out. The chairs are all tight and sturdy, but do have the normal nicks and dings. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
