SOLD Pair of Exceptional Marble Top Victorian Nightstands

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful matching pair of Victorian age marble top nightstands of European acquisition. These were shipped over a long time ago and were recently purchased out of a local home here in California.  We are pleased to be offering this original finish pair of marble top nightstands with an exceptional backsplash that just makes the nightstands stand out.  They date from the 1890's and are a true matching pair with left door and right door openings.  They come with the original cast brass Victorian hardware, fluted tapered turn spindle posts on the cabinet and backsplashes that have everything intact including the side wings, molded panel in the center, hand carved crest and dual finials.  The marble is exceptional being dark black with the gray and white specks throughout, which is a difficult marble to find and we are thankful that the marble has been undamaged and stayed with the piece for its lifetime.  The marble has an ogee bevel edge that accents the grandness.  The  drawers are all hand cut dove tail.  The doors open for plenty of storage.  The nightstand is all held up with a dainty bun foot.  The color of the nightstands is a medium walnut, even though they contain a mixture of woods.  The overall size is 20 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 52 inches high to the top of the backsplash.  I forgot to measure the height of the marble but it is 31 or 32 inches high which is perfect for a bedside table.  I know you can find these all over the internet for $1850 a pair, but ours are priced to move at $1250!  Shipping for these nightstands is $98 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please check with us prior to purchase to confirm that you are in our normal area.
