We are pleased to be offering this unusual and hard to find eight drawer tiger sawn oak letter file. Dating from the 1880s to 1890s era, this item was originally sold by the Amberg File Company. Open each drawer to see that it used to have letter files in them. Most of the drawers retain the original Amberg paper label. They used to have springs that went on top of the paper files, which are missing. The oval bevel edge on the center is for your name tags. There are some name tags in there already and it appears to have come out of a doctor’s office. It has egg and dart molding around the top, and has the original Amberg stenciling on the face, though it is worn. It has panel sides, unfinished back and an ogee bevel edge top. The top has a chip of wood out of the front center molding, a couple small stain and a couple cracks on the top. The overall size is 17 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 38 inches high. The size of the drawers are 13 inches wide on the face, 12.5 inches wide inside, 3.5 inches high on the face and 10 inches deep.
