We are pleased to be offering today this untouched Victorian civil war era oval burl walnut panel carved huntboard that dates from the 1870s to 1880s.  It came out of a local Maine home where it has been its whole life.  The overall size is 48 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 38 inches high to the marble, 46 inches high on the top section and is  84 inches high overall.  It has oval burl panels, carved posts, dove tail construction, panel sides, round corner multi-bevel edge base and the top has a big oval burl panel and there are carvings of birds and fish which is why it is called a huntsboard.  The top has turn finials and a hand carved crest.  The most important thing is the white and gray grained ogee bevel edge marble top.  It is in the original condition showing minor finish loss here and there.  It comes with two keys.  Shipping starts at $385 if you are in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm you are in our area as shipping can increase as much as $100.
