We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful chestnut or ash and walnut early Victorian four drawer dresser dating from the 1870s to 1880s. It is rare to see this type of dresser in marble top as most of these New England pieces did not have the marble. This dresser is high quality with extra walnut moldings. It has hand cut dove tail drawers. The top three drawers have walnut carved pulls, big carved centers on the escutcheons, race track molding, carved walnut on the corner posts that are cookie corner. The fourth drawer is a cleverly designed drawer on the base that looks like a flat board and it is called the secret drawer. This dresser has hand cut dove tails, hand carved walnut fruit and berry pulls, and it has a lovely light amber color. The white marble is in nice condition being ogee bevel edge and cookie corner. It does not come with a key. The overall size is 46.5 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 31 inches high. It is a great looking chest. We also have a matching marble top nightstand/half commode that we purchased out of the same estate, so please check to see if it is still available.
