We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful maple stained country period style looking canopy full size bed that came out of a central Maine home. Dating from the 1950s to 1960s, it is a great bed with wooden side rails and dome top canopy that is held in place with four fancy finials that insert on each post of the bed itself. A big wide shield with beautiful maple graining the bed is stained in a warm maple brown. The bed is all good with minor nicks and dings here and there. The posts are unique as they start out with a square country block foot like Hepplewhite then tapers into a turned tapered bottom post into a six sided tapered top post that goes up into a wonderful turn shape finial. The overall size is 57 inches wide, 13 inches high to the footboard cross piece, 35 inches high to the shield, 72 inches tall to the posts, 74 inches high to the top of the canopy and 12 inches high to the top of the rails. The inside dimensions are 53 inches by 75 inches. It is a great bed. Shipping starts at $285 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not. This estimate is for the East coast.
