We are pleased to be offering today this rocking chair that was sold by the Larkin Furniture Company. I know this for a fact as I have owned this type of rocker for many years. Some of these have the paper label underneath. This particular model has the serpents or lion faces in the upper corns with the traditional hand hold in the center, carved backsplash, numerous tiger sawn turn dainty spindles, scooped out saddle seat, nice turnings all around and the rocking chair base. It dates from the 1890s. This chair has been refinished years ago and it has held up well. They used to make this is tiger sawn oak and birch stain mahogany. The overall size is 26 inches wide across the arms, 19 inches deep on the seat, 46 inches high to the back, 24 inches high to the arm and 17 inches high to the seat. It is a great rocking chair.
