We are pleased to be offering today what appears to be an original finish flame mahogany hand carved claw foot federal style sofa that dates from the 1830s era in beautiful condition. It has the normal issues of veneer cracks (small) where the arm curves, which we can detail out if you desire. It has the acanthus carving, horn of plenty with fruit and berries coming out on the face of the arm. There are floral and detail carvings on the base with detail toe nail feet. It has a nice period looking fabric that is old, but usable and even has the pillows. The overall size is 80 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 60 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 22 inches deep, 34 inches high to the back, 27 inches high on the arms and 19 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking period sofa for being almost 175 years old. It has the minor veneer cracks with no big nicks, dings or chips. The carving is gorgeous.
