We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual carved wooden pole lamp or floor lamp that I am guessing dates from the 1930s era. I believe it made of beech. It is stained a honey amber brown color. It has unbelievable carvings throughout. It has an unbelievable barley twist post. The pictures will show how great the lamp is. It is in the Merklen style, but it wasn’t made by Merklen. It is something in the style of Merklen or Hunzinger. It has a platform base with leaf carving throughout. It has a fluted vase column with carving throughout. It has a secondary table top that works as an end table with gadroon or rope edge carving. The lamp will need to be re-wired as the cord has been cut. The lamp table top is approximately 22 inches round and 25 inches high. The top of the lamp where the socket is 62 inches high. It comes with the lamp harp, but it will need to be re-wired. I have seen a couple of these sell for big money. There are few chips on the base, which aren’t a big deal but I wanted to mention it. Shipping starts at $245 due to height for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
