SOLD Carved Barley Twist Bevel Mirror Oak Server – TV Stand
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful barley twist leg dainty turned bottom shelf fancy carved mirror back oak server that dates from the 1890s. What a great looking piece. It has a north wind face right in the top of the bevel glass shapely mirror. The outside edges are two applied carved corners that are quite unique. I think there may have been small shelves at one time as you can see a couple of peg holes on the back that we will color in. The drawers are all dove tail and have oak secondary wood. The drawers have cast brass hardware. The oversize bottom drawer has an applied carving lip and wonderful carving in the center for a beautiful look with the top three drawers being block front. The legs are barley twist and go down into a fluted tapered dainty leg with original castors. The overall size is 46 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 37 inches high to the case, 12 inches high to the bottom shelf and 50 inches high overall. This server would make a beautiful tv stand for the flat screen tvs and put your devices on the bottom shelf. The cabinet is in the medium amber patina from the 1890s.
