SOLD Antique Walnut Victorian Heavily Carved Marble Top Etagere
We are pleased to be offering today this stunning, larger-than-life Victorian solid black walnut marble top etagere, dating from the 1870s to 1880s. This piece exudes elegance and offers ample shelf space, a full-length mirror, mirrored backs on both sides, and a drawer on the front with a beautifully hand-carved pull. Topping it off is a bevel-edged white and gray marble shelf, adding a touch of sophistication.
The impressive crest, measuring 22 inches high and 16 inches wide, weighs approximately 20 lbs and is adorned with bold finials and intricate carvings. The entire piece features striking clam shell moldings, shapely cut-out brackets, and burl panels that enhance its antique charm. The etagere retains its original finish and stands:
96 inches high overall,
48 inches at the widest
and 19 inches deepest point.
The height to the marble shelf is 11 inches.
While in excellent condition, there is one small piece of molding missing at the bottom, which is hardly noticeable. We will check our shop to see if we can locate a replacement.
