SOLD Antique Victorian Walnut Extra Large Roll Top Desk

We are pleased to be offering today this really large Victorian solid black walnut S shape tambour roll top desk that dates from the 1880s era. It is more of an Eastlake style as it has the circular dowel dove tail instead of the hand cut dove tail. It comes with four drawers on each side with the bottom drawer of each column acting like a double drawer when it is an extra size legal drawer that is 15 inches wide and 9.5 inches high with file separations in it. The other drawers are regular drawers, and each bank of drawers has a pull-out slide. This desk is a one-piece base that does not have a middle drawer, but a piece of trim. The panel on the front of the desk goes all the way across. The desk will be delivered in two sections: the base and the S top. The desk will need to go into the home or office on a dolly on its back or stand it up on the end. When you open the tambour roll, it exposes a pretty nice walnut interior with unusual drawers, pencil trays and plenty of storage. It has a green vinyl top that shows some lifting on the edge. Most likely the buyer will invest in having the green vinyl replaced, but it is usable as it is. The desk comes with the key, but we do not guarantee the lock to work. The overall size is 72 inches long, 36 inches deep, 31 inches high to the base cabinet and 50 inches high overall. The space where you sit is 33 inches wide and 26 inches wide, plenty of leg room!! It was refinished by the previous owner in the last 20 years or so. It seems to be a decent finish showing minor flaws here and there. It has a full panel front and sides.
