This stunning Victorian flat top desk is crafted in boldly figured quarter sawn tiger oak, dating to the 1890s. It features exceptional craftsmanship, including 23 raised panels, dovetail construction, and an incredibly rare original backsplash gallery — a detail almost never found intact.
The desk retains its gorgeous original finish, rich with a warm 130-year-old patina. The carved wooden pulls are all present, as are all the panels. This desk is one of a few dozen items we recently purchased out of a New England estate. We are listing it in the current condition, but if you prefer a more finished look, we are always happy to get you a quote for refinishing in our professional restoration shop - just send us a quick note and we'll get you that information.
