SOLD Antique Victorian Cameo Back Carved Civil War Era Sofa
We are pleased to be offering today this solid black walnut civil war era cameo back carved sofa that dates from the 1860s era. It is a great sofa with a solid black walnut hand carved frame with a medallion cameo back in the center. It has been reupholstered in the last 10-20 years in an antique wine color fabric. The sofa is fairly tight and sturdy. The center of the cameo back bottom is a flat spot, but you wouldn’t normally notice it. There are a couple of cracks at the lamination seams, which is normal for this piece at its age. The fabric has no rips or tears, but it does have some threads hanging out. The overall size is 65 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 39 inches high to the back. Shipping starts at $355 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
