We are pleased to be offering today this Victorian era marble mantle shelf
that dates from the 1870s-1880s. It is much thicker than normal being 2
inches thick. It is white carrera marble. There were a couple of big dirt
marks on the top that have mostly come off, but there is a little stain
left. On the front of it there is a spot that was part of the dirt mark and
they should have scrapped it off before picturing, but they did not. It
should come right off and leave a slight mark that should look like a vein
when cleaned. The shelf is humongous at 72 inches long by 13.75 inches
deep. It has a very wide ogee bevel edge and a shapely top. It is one heck
of a piece of marble. Shipping will start at $169, due to weight, in our
normal delivery area. Please check with us prior to purchase as those on
the west coast may be surprised with the shipping cost.
