Dating from the 1880s or ‘90s, this clock is unique and beautiful, and would make a great addition to your mantelpiece. It’s a French Victorian age deco style clock that has a spelter casting on top of two cupids embracing each other. I call it deco, although it’s really not, because of the dome shaped rose quartz and gray marble case with a porcelain face. The paint is in pretty good condition. On the back is a partial brand name on the works, “Medaille” and there is no key or pendulum. The springs may be in good condition, although we won’t guarantee them. They aren’t crimped down, and if I get a key I will double check it. The case itself is worth the price. It’s all marble, with rose quartz, gray marble, all laminated in seams and groups, and of course the statue on top. It has a beveled glass bezel and the porcelain face is all good and intact. It’s in really nice condition, except that I can’t guarantee the works. The overall size is 16 inches across the base, 4.5 inches deep, and 8.5 inches to the top of the clock, and 15 inches to the top of the statue. The actual height to the top of the statue is 7 inches, and the statue wraps around to measure about 12 inches wide. The little cupid in the front is about 8 inches long, and the one in the back has wings that you can see. The statue itself is all in good condition. This clock is fairly heavy.
