SOLD Antique Sofa, Victorian Finger Carved Couch, Blue Fabric
This antique finger, carved sofa features a solid black walnut frame and dates from the 1880s. The frame appears to be an original condition, it has been re-glued at one point. It looks like it was reupholstered quite some time ago, and the button, and pleated the back, which really adds to the aesthetic of the antique sofa. The fabric seems to be in pretty nice condition, it could probably use a cleaning just like anything this old. The frame is pretty tight… If you wiggle it and try hard, you can get it to move a little which is normal for an old sofa like this, but it is very functional and very pretty.
This sofa measures 67 inches at the widest point, inside the arms upfront is 48 inches, from the front to the back is approximately 34 inches because of the angle of the back, the height to the top of the couch back is approximately 41 inches high, and the height to the seat is 18 inches high. Height to the forearm of the sofa is 22 inches high.
This sofa is it in good condition with the re-glued/tightened joints, and makes for a great Victorian piece.
