SOLD Antique Sideboard, Victorian Carved Marble Top Buffet

This early antique sideboard is Victorian and features an oval mirror back and carved marble top. Dating from the 1860s to 1870s in previously refinished condition, someone spent a lot of time and money having this piece refinished.  The marble appears to have been replaced, and the back is all original with a hand carved leaf crest and a wonderful detail carved crest on top. There is a shelf above the original oval mirror, which shows the scratches and age marks. This antique sideboard buffet has a nice look with carved shelf supports and open fretwork sides.  The base has two picture frame molded burl walnut hand cut dove tail drawers.  The two doors underneath the drawers have a burl oval shield on each door.  The right-hand door has a crack going down through the panel as you can see in the photos.  They repaired the crack on the sides of each door when it was refinished approximately 20 years ago.  The doors open to reveal an open storage space even though there are cleats for a shelf.  It does not come with a key.  It is all set to go into the home.  The overall size is 52 inches wide, 23 inches deep on the marble, 38 inches high to the marble, and 85 inches high overall.  The height from the marble to the top shelf is 19 inches.  The size of the mirror glass is approximately 17 inches wide.  It is a nice early Victorian piece.  What we are asking, probably doesn’t cover of the refinishing back in the day.
