Dating from the 1880's, the very top crest has lion heads on each end with fruit and berries in the center. Then two carved panels on each side of the circular bevel mirror and a shelf with winged griffins for shelf supports. Note the brown and rose-colored quartz marble top that sits upon a burl walnut heavily carved base with a circular door in the center and a fruit basket in the center. The deep relief hand carvings of leaves and foliage, and outsides have matching bulbous carving. It is a unique buffet with panel sides, three small dovetail drawers on top, large drawer on the bottom. The center drawer is felt lined but is worn out. There are no breaks or anything wrong. The finish is a bit dry, but we have oiled it up. Even the mirrors are in good condition showing age marks, but no chips or cracks.
