SOLD Antique Set of Eight Solid Mahogany Dining Chairs

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of eight matching solid mahogany dining chairs that probably don’t date more than 20 or 30 years old.  They came in on trade as the customers purchased a beautiful set of turn of the century press back chairs.  They said they have had them in their home for a while.   They were a lighter color so they have been tinted, sprayed and tightened up.  The set consists of two better than average arm chairs and six side chairs.  The wood is solid mahogany.  The seats are done in a beautiful period style floral fabric with stripes.  Let the pictures do the looking, but they are all tight and sturdy.  They are fancier than normal with a  drape of the shield going around the fancy carved back, which would remind you of a Prince of Wales style chairs.  The legs are Hepplewhite, raised panel grooved and have little rosettes in them.  The front skirt is serpentine and solid mahogany.  The chair legs are carved down on all four legs and go down into a pronounced Hepplewhite block foot bottom.  The overall size of the side chairs are 21 inches across the legs, 19 inches deep, 39.5 inches high overall and 19 inches high to the seat.  The arm chairs are 21 inches across, 19 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 39.5 inches high overall.  The arms are most unusual where they have a fancy cut out forearm to rest your forearms on and a reverse curved support that has rosettes carved.  These are a fantastic set of eight chairs that we are pleased to offering today.  Please check our other items as we offer multi- item discounts.  It will cost $325.00 to have these eight chairs shipped to our normal delivery area.  Please contact us before purchase to confirm that you are within our normal zone.  We also ship to all points of Canada, but please contact us before purchasing to get a quote for your specific location.
