SOLD Antique Set of Six Solid Mahogany Shield Back Dining Chairs
This is a wonderful set of six solid mahogany – including the carved splats – dining chairs that I’m guessing date from the last 30 or 40 years. The set consists of one arm chair and five oversized side chairs. They’ve been reupholstered in a gorgeous floral fabric that looks expensive. The chairs themselves are in a light reddish brown satin finish, and are all good and sturdy. The size of the arm chair is 22 inches across the seat, 19 inches deep, 39 inches high to the back, 27 inches to the arm, and 20 inches to the seat. The side chairs are 22 inches across, 18 inches deep, 38.5 inches to the back, and 20 inches high to the seat. They have tapered front legs, flared back legs, wonderful detailed Prince of Wales carving with tulips and floral scenes on the extra wide solid triple post back. These are very high quality chairs.
